Current teaching and research interests:

Non-malignant diseases in palliative medicine, molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the concept of demoralisation and depression, treatment and ethical aspects of the status epilepticus in palliative care, pharmacologic treatment of pain and cognition.
